Bud has been engaged in corporate development for 15 plus years as an experienced finance and operations professional where he has served as a team advisor to senior teams on all aspects of corporate strategy development and execution. As a strategic business planning and analysis professional, he specializes in Mergers and Acquisitions, IPOs, Strategic Planning, Due Diligence, Global Operations, Client Relations, Forecasting and Analysis, and Budgeting. His professional expertise has been achieved during a career of proven leadership roles as VP of Corporate Development, Director of Operations, Senior Financial Analyst, Strategic Account Manager, and Financial Analyst.

Prior to joining MNA Advisor, LLC, Bud launched a new business venture advising clients at CLM Capital on M&A transactions and corporate development. His primary role was to develop strategic acquisition plans for clients, lead deal teams from initial contact of target to closing of deal, identify, analyze, and develop new business opportunities and market initiatives, develop metrics to measure and track in support of long range strategic plans, and lead as well as facilitate strategic planning sessions with key executives at client companies.

Another of Bud’s recent corporate and development projects included the growth of Dice Holdings (the leading provider of specialized websites for select professional communities). During his tenure Dice grew from 1 brand to 6 brands and from $35MM in annual revenue to over $129MM. With Dice’s acquisition of Rigzone, he led the acquisition from feasibility and board approval through initial contact to final close. At the close Bud took on the responsibility of integrating Rigzone while leading the day to day operations.

In addition to his strategic business planning and analytical skills, Bud is considered to be a savvy negotiator and to possess a broad understanding of the energy business. He is known for his abilities to develop financial and operational metric scorecards, analyze markets for entry (domestic and international) to capitalize on unforeseen growth opportunities, and for his development of models for evaluation of debt restructuring offers and negotiations.

Bud graduated from Iowa State University, Ames, IA with an M.B.A in Finance and Marketing and is a United States Air Force veteran.
